Welcome!

My name is Wendy and I am slightly obsessed with all things photography. My goal for 2010 is to take a photo a day and post it here, on this blog. At the end of the year, I should have a pretty good idea what 2010 looked like. Let's hope 2010 looks better than 2009.

Day 12

12

I'm feeling creatively drained today so I snapped a picture of the current books taking up room on my nightstand. I'm in the market for a really good read for our upcoming trip. Got any recommendations?

I see The Glass Castle on your nightstand, I loved that one! The movie The Lovely Bones is coming out soon and its based on a book. I read the book years ago and recall really enjoying it. I'm (yes, I admit it) in the middle of reading The Twilight Series. I think I'm one of the last people to read it...but have to say I have enjoyed what I've read so far. Great shot!

cool shot - I like the overlay! I only wish I did much reading. I have only read "chick-lit" lately. It seems it's all I have time for. the bottom one on your stack intrigues me though!

Love this shot, Wendy! I'm reading The Lucky One by Nicholas Sparks right now and, so far, it's pretty good.

I was going to recommend The Lovely Bones as well. It's one of my favorite books. I can send you my copy if you want. I like your overlay on this pic!

If you like light and a little goofy, Janet Evanovich's Stephanie Plum series is laugh out loud funny with a little mystery and romance thrown in.

Love the shot! I'll be popping back by to see what other recommendations you get, I'm always looking for something to read.

I really like the overlay in this photo! The way you edit your photos is always fun :O) Right now I'm reading Freakonomics. Very interesting :O)

I think this is perfect...I just feel bad because it's yet another reminder that I need to read more...My books have been more of the creating kind lately. So make sure to post if you find any good reads out there. :)

Looks like I should add The Lovely Bones to my reading list! I only wish I had more time to read :) Where are you going on your trip?

Thanks for all the great suggestions, everyone.
I read Lovely Bones many years ago. I don't think I could read it again but the movie should be interesting. I loved the Potato Peel Society and the Lucky One. I'm going to google Freakonomics and the Stephanie Plum series. I guess I ought to revisit Goodreads. :)
Laurie, we are going to Maui to get out of this rainy cold weather. Can't wait!
